Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Dash Academy Inc., a Florida corporation (“Dash Academy,” “we,” “us,” “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information through our websites — including www.mydashacademy.com, courses.mydashacademy.com, merch.mydashacademy.com, ambassadors.mydashacademy.com, and any other subdomains — our mobile applications, our online courses, our campus ambassador program, and any services offered in connection with them (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Personal Information. Name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, date of birth, and school or institution.

Account Credentials. Username, password, and other identifiers used to access our Services.

Payment Information. When you purchase a course, package, session, or product, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. Card numbers and similar payment credentials are submitted directly to that processor and are not stored on our servers. We retain a record of the transaction — amount, date, items purchased, billing contact, and the last four digits of the payment method — for accounting, support, and tax purposes.

Usage Data. Information about your device and interaction with our Services, such as IP address, browser type, access times, and pages viewed.

Course and Progress Data. The courses, packages, and tiers you enroll in; videos watched and watch progress; practice questions attempted and answers given; flashcard review history; diagnostic and practice scores; and coursework or notes you submit.

Session and Booking Data. Sessions you book, with which academic coach, subject matter, scheduling and attendance, cancellations and no-shows, and any notes recorded by you or your coach.

Waitlist and Interest Data. The products, courses, sizes, colors, or options you tell us you are interested in, and your stated likelihood of purchasing, which we use to decide what to produce, stock, or launch.

Ambassador Program Information. If you apply to or participate in our campus ambassador program, we collect your name, email address, school, expected graduation year, social media handles, your description of your role on campus, your written responses, and any video you submit. If you are accepted and become eligible for payouts, we also collect the information required to pay you and to meet our tax reporting obligations, including your legal name, mailing address, payment details, and taxpayer identification number.

User-Generated Content. Any content you submit through forums, surveys, feedback, chat, or other communication tools.

Recordings and Likeness. Where sessions, events, or programs are recorded, we collect your name, voice, image, and likeness as captured in those recordings. See Section 8.

Communication Preferences. Whether you have consented to or opted out of email and text messages, and when that consent or opt-out was recorded.

Submissions and Input. Suggestions, ideas, or proposals you submit to improve our platform or services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Deliver course content, track your progress through it, and restore your place across devices;
  • Match you with academic coaches, schedule sessions, and support those sessions;
  • Process transactions, send confirmations, and administer packages and credits;
  • Administer the campus ambassador program, attribute referrals, calculate and issue payouts, and meet our tax reporting obligations;
  • Communicate with you, including service updates, security alerts, and support;
  • Personalize your experience on the platform;
  • Analyze usage trends and improve functionality;
  • Decide what to produce, stock, or launch, based on waitlist interest and stated demand;
  • Create promotional and educational content, as described in Section 8;
  • Display testimonials or user-submitted content for promotional purposes, with your consent or in accordance with the license terms in our Terms and Conditions;
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements.

3. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with:

Service Providers. Third-party vendors who process information on our behalf so that we can operate the Services. These fall into the following categories: payment processing, website and application hosting, course and learning platform delivery, video hosting and streaming, email delivery, SMS delivery, customer support, scheduling, analytics, and accounting and tax administration. Service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.

Academic Coaches. The coach you book is given the information needed to deliver your session — your name, contact information, subject and scheduling details, and any information you choose to share with them. Coaches are contractually bound to confidentiality and may not use your information for their own purposes or contact you outside the platform to offer competing services.

Parents and Guardians. Where a parent or legal guardian holds the account for a student under 18, we may share session details, attendance, progress, and billing information with them.

Legal Compliance. To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or subpoenas, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Dash Academy or others.

Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

Public Areas. Information you disclose in public areas of the Services, such as forums or comment sections, may be accessed by others.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes or for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell sensitive personal information under any circumstances. We do not share your information with academic institutions, employers, or admissions bodies except at your direction.

Campus ambassadors receive attribution and payout data about referrals made using their code. Ambassadors are not given the identities, contact information, academic information, or purchase details of the students who use their code beyond what is necessary to calculate their commission.

4. Information Automatically Collected When You Visit Our Site

When you access our website, certain types of personal and technical information may be collected automatically or provided by you during your visit.

Personal Identifiers

As you interact with our Site, we may request or receive details that personally identify you. This includes information submitted during registration or when signing up for services like newsletters. You may be asked to provide your full name, email address, and, in some cases, your phone number. Additionally, creating an account will require you to choose a unique username and password. These credentials help authenticate your identity and protect your account. If someone else gains access to them, they could potentially access your account and personal information.

Non-Identifying (Generic) Information

We may collect data that doesn't personally identify you. This could include aggregate analytics like the number of visitors to specific pages, general site traffic trends, and interactions with our content. Information about the device you use to access the Site — such as browser type, operating system, and screen resolution — may also be collected automatically.

Usage Information

We gather technical data related to your interactions with the Site. This includes pages visited, the success or failure of page loads or downloads, timestamps of your visits, the referral URL (where you came from), search terms that led you to us, your IP address, browser version, and operating system details.

Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

To enhance your browsing experience and deliver personalized services, we use cookies, tracking pixels, and local storage technologies. These tools help us understand user behavior, manage sessions, store preferences, and measure performance. In some cases, we combine cookie-collected information across sessions to gain deeper insights into usage patterns.

We may also work with advertising and analytics partners who set their own cookies or tracking tools on your device. These partners may use this data to provide targeted advertising or measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. Examples include tools like Google Analytics, which provide anonymous insights into user behavior, demographics, and geographic location.

Types of Cookies in Use

Session Cookies. Temporary cookies that remember your choices during a single visit. They are removed once you close your browser.

Preference Cookies. Persistent cookies that save your settings and preferences for future visits. These remain until you delete them or they expire.

Third-Party Cookies. Placed by our partners, these cookies may track your activity across our Site and other services to deliver advertising or analytics insights.

Log Files

Our servers automatically log the URL you used to reach the Site and may store your IP address for security, diagnostics, and system performance monitoring. Your IP address helps us understand your general location and manage Site access.

To learn more about online advertising technologies and how to control your preferences, you can visit organizations like the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), or the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).

Opt-Out Preference Signals

We honor browser-based universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where your browser transmits such a signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, without requiring you to submit a separate request.

5. Payments, Billing, and Recurring Charges

Course enrollments, packages, sessions, and product purchases are processed by third-party payment processors. As described in Section 1, we do not store card numbers on our servers. Where a purchase is offered as a payment plan, installment arrangement, or recurring subscription, you will be told the amount, the billing interval, and the number of payments before you complete the purchase. Recurring charges continue until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through your account settings, where that option is available, or by contacting contact@mydashacademy.com. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not automatically refund charges already made, which are handled under our Terms and Conditions and any refund policy stated at the time of purchase.

We keep billing records — including amounts, dates, and items — for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and you are using the Services. After that, we keep it only for as long as we have a real reason to — finishing something you started, resolving a dispute, or meeting a legal, tax, or accounting requirement. Billing and tax records are kept for the period the law requires. Records of your marketing and text-message preferences are kept after you opt out, so that we can prove you asked us to stop and honor it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see Section 12.

7. Age Requirements

Our Services are used primarily by college and graduate students, and we work with high-school students from time to time.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact privacy@mydashacademy.com and we will delete it.

If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to our Terms and Conditions on the student's behalf, must hold the account, and is responsible for any purchases made through it.

We do not record sessions with students under 18, and we do not use their information in any marketing or promotional material.

We do not use the personal information of any user we know or should know is under 18 for targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.

A parent or legal guardian may contact us at privacy@mydashacademy.com at any time to review, correct, or delete their child's information, or to withdraw permission for their child to use the Services.

Our campus ambassador program is open only to individuals who are at least 18 years old.

8. Session Recordings

Some sessions, events, and programs are recorded — for quality assurance, coach training, safety, dispute resolution, and to create promotional and educational content.

By agreeing to our Terms and Conditions you acknowledge that your sessions may be recorded. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us or tell your coach at any point, and the session will go ahead without a recording. There is no penalty for asking, and it will not affect your booking.

We may use recordings, or excerpts from them, in our marketing, on social media, on our websites, and in course and training materials. By taking part in a recorded session you give Dash Academy permission to use your name, voice, image, and likeness for these purposes. You may withdraw that permission at any time by emailing privacy@mydashacademy.com — we will stop using the recording in anything new and take it down from the channels we control, though we cannot recover copies others have already shared or saved.

Apart from that use, access to recordings is limited to Dash Academy personnel who need them for the purposes described above.

9. SMS Consent and Communications

Phone numbers collected as part of the SMS consent process are used solely for communication related to Dash Academy services, including appointment reminders, follow-ups, and account-related notifications.

SMS consent and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Where you join a product waitlist or drop announcement list, we may also send you text messages about that drop, including when it opens and when your size or item becomes available.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

SMS Opt-In and User Control

Users may opt in to receive SMS communications by providing their phone number through Dash Academy forms or booking processes. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Users may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, and may request assistance by replying HELP.

10. Our SMS Program

Text messages are sent by Dash Academy Inc. Depending on which lists you join, messages may include course and enrollment updates, session and appointment reminders, account notifications, and product drop announcements.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

We collect your phone number only where you have provided it and affirmatively agreed to be contacted at that number. We do not purchase phone numbers, we do not obtain them from third-party lists or lead generators, and we do not send text messages on behalf of anyone else.

Mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS consent — is never shared or sold to third parties or lead generators for marketing purposes. We share it only with the SMS delivery provider that transmits messages on our behalf, and only to send the messages you asked for.

Opt-out requests are honored promptly and in all cases within ten business days. You may opt out by replying STOP, or by any other reasonable method, including contacting privacy@mydashacademy.com.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process personal information about you, and access it;
  • Obtain a copy of it in a portable format;
  • Correct inaccuracies in it;
  • Request its deletion;
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information, of targeted advertising, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects;
  • Obtain a list of the categories of third parties to which we have disclosed personal information;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia have these rights, in varying scope, under their state privacy laws. Residents of other states may acquire them as additional laws take effect; we extend the rights above to all users regardless of state.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell sensitive personal information.

Right to equal service and non-discrimination. You are entitled to exercise your privacy rights without being treated unfairly. We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you choose to exercise your data privacy rights.

To exercise a right, email privacy@mydashacademy.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline a request we cannot verify. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need a permitted extension.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing privacy@mydashacademy.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will review the appeal and respond in writing within 60 days, explaining the reasons for our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state Attorney General.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may require proof of the agent's authority and may require you to verify your own identity directly. A parent or legal guardian may exercise these rights on behalf of a student under 18.

12. Account Deactivation and Deletion

If you decide to stop using your Dash Academy account, you have two options: deactivation or permanent deletion.

Deactivating your account. Your account will be paused, but your data will remain stored in our system. This allows you to reactivate your account later without losing your information. It is a temporary suspension, not a data erasure. To request deactivation, please email us at privacy@mydashacademy.com.

Deleting your account. Your personal information will be either permanently erased or anonymized so that it can no longer be traced back to you. Please be aware that once deletion is complete, you won't be able to access your account, reset your password, or retrieve any purchased services or materials. To request deletion, contact privacy@mydashacademy.com.

13. Data Security and Security Incidents

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These include access controls limiting personnel and contractor access to what their role requires, encryption of data in transit, and contractual security obligations on our service providers. No system can be guaranteed one hundred percent secure, and you acknowledge the inherent risks of providing personal data online.

If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law. For Florida residents, notice will be provided within 30 days of our determination that a breach has occurred, as required by Fla. Stat. § 501.171, and we will notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs where the law requires it.

Please keep your account credentials confidential. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact privacy@mydashacademy.com immediately.

14. Campus Ambassador Program

If you apply to or participate in our campus ambassador program:

What we collect and why. We collect the application information described in Section 1 to evaluate your application. If you are accepted, we use your information to administer your participation, attribute referrals made with your code, calculate and issue payouts, and meet our tax reporting obligations.

Your video. Application videos are used to evaluate your application. We do not publish, broadcast, or use your application video in marketing unless you give us separate written permission. Videos you host on a third-party platform such as YouTube remain subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy — we receive only the link you give us. You control that video and may remove it at any time.

Your social handles. We use the handles you provide to review your public content, verify posting activity, and check that required disclosures are being made. We do not post to your accounts and we do not request access to them.

Tax information. If your payouts reach the threshold requiring tax reporting, we will collect the information necessary to issue the required forms, including your taxpayer identification number. This information is treated as sensitive, is stored with restricted access, is used only for tax and payment purposes, and is never sold or shared for marketing.

What you see as an ambassador. Referral attribution is tracked through your unique code or link. You are shown the number of referrals attributed to you and the commission earned. You are not given the identity, contact information, academic information, or purchase details of the students who use your code.

Ending participation. You may leave the program at any time. On departure we deactivate your code, pay any commission already earned, and retain your payout and tax records only as required by law.

15. International Users

Dash Academy operates in the United States and our Services are intended for users in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Services you consent to that transfer.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our Site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If there are any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page. It is therefore in your own interest to check the "Privacy Policy" page any time you access our Site so as to be aware of any changes which may occur from time to time.

We encourage you to periodically check back to this page for any updates. We will notify you of highly significant changes via email or prominent notice on our Site. Your continued use of the Services after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
